The Take a Seat Auction to benefit the Reg Lenna Civic Center in Jamestown is expanding this year to include more than decorated furniture. It will be held July 26 in the Bemus Point Casino. Viewing begins at 6 p.m., with the auction to start at 8:00 Calls have gone out to local artists to submit a piece of their work, whether it is furniture, traditional painted artwork, weaving, jewelry, pottery or their artistic services. Ten artists will donate their talents. Fifty pieces of unique painted furniture also will be offered, as well as a hand-restored antique trunk donated by area artist Skid Proctor. Tickets will be available at the door. Interested artists should contact event chair Kristina Benson at 716-386-2753
